History also records Germany's most infamous dictator was obsessed with establishing his Austrian birthplace as the European centre of art and culture. As the crowning piece for 'Project Linz,' Adolf Hitler ordered the diamond found, triggering a tale of love, daring and deception involving the 'Special Operations Executive.'
